Hello! My name is Mirla Yacqueline Rodriguez, and I am delighted to share a bit about my journey and passions with you. I am from Caracas, Venezuela, a vibrant city that has shaped much of who I am today.

Educational Background

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Language Education, with a specialty in English, and I have furthered my expertise with a Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). This educational foundation has been instrumental in equipping me with the skills and knowledge to support multilingual learners effectively.

Professional Experience

Currently, I work as a Multilingual (ML) Teacher at a middle school in North Carolina. My role allows me to interact with a diverse group of students, nurturing their English language skills and supporting their academic growth. I have been passionately involved in the educational sector in the United States for over 17 years, gaining invaluable experience and insights into the needs of multilingual learners.

Tutoring and Advocacy

In addition to my work in the school system, I am the proud owner of an after-school tutoring center in Red Springs, NC. Here, I offer personalized tutoring sessions for ML kids, focusing on enhancing their language proficiency and helping them excel academically. I am deeply committed to advocating for multilingual learners, ensuring they receive the support and resources they need to thrive in their educational journeys.

Passion for Teaching

Teaching English as a second language is not just a career for me; it is a passion. I am dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student feels valued and empowered. I believe in the transformative power of education and strive to inspire my students to reach their full potential.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and my work. I am always eager to connect with others who share a passion for education and multilingual advocacy.
